Kinsey in Russia

An attempt to document my time in Russia

Sorry for the Late upload, been going crazy since I got back, but here are some of the photos from Vladimir-Suzdal

We spent a week in St. Petersburg last week and are going to Vladimir and Suzdal tomorrow.  The week in St. Petersburg was a lot of fun.  We got to go visit the Hermatage, The palace of Ekaterina I, and several other places.  Our guide was amazing, she knew tons of facts, but when we knew something she didn’t, she loved hearing about it and even asked us to please give her new facts.  I gave her a few words she asked for (her native language is Russian, but she spoke English very well) and I informed her that the horses bridals, in the museum, were on backwards with the nose-bands in the horses mouths.  Those were some pretty nasty foot-long shanks on the bridals.  We got buy some stuff from a porcelain factory, completing my list of stuff to give to people.

Friday we worked on our photography skills, and I really liked this picture of a young lady reading a book.  She glared at me once she figured out I was taking pictures of her.

Sergeiv Pasod.  Sunday was pretty amazing.  I put the rest of the photos on the Clemson in Russia Flickr page

Mike and I were so happy when we found these low calorie mutton dishes

Saturday’s zoo adventure

Sergiev Posad

Dr Layfield arrived this week and most of us went with him to Sergiev Posad today. It was very lovely. We also went to the Moscow zoo yesterday. I loved the duck ponds there.

INTERNET! :)

Sorry guys, the internet was down this weekend, I almost went crazy without it.  I am feeling so much better.  I don’t think I have ever recovered from an upper respiratory infection so quickly.  Russian medicine is awesome.  I didn’t get any antibiotics but I got a few immune system boosters which worked faster and better than antibiotics ever have for me.

Thanks for the prayers.

Sick

I have been pretty sick this week, so I really haven’t done much this week due to how sick I have been.

Friday was the final for Energy Management, I am hoping I made an A.

Right now, the reason this will be breif, is because I am doing my FAFSA between bathroom trips.

This week in Moscow…

This week we went to a greenhouse which grows roses, it was beautiful.  There were so many varieties of colors and even some of smells.

Friday we celebrated Chris’s birthday so I made him my banana bread which came out lopsided because I had to cook my dinner in the oven at the same time (fish.)  Apparently Chris (and his girlfriend Vivian, who came here for a week for his birthday) loved the shape.  They ended up turning it into a race car with reeces for wheels and twix for a spoiler. :)

I didn’t go to church today, sadly, because both Elizabeth and I were sick :(
